What Happens in Vegas

Hello all! My name is Camille Hack, and I’m bringing you weekly blogs on how I use Surfmark in my daily life in a series called “A Day in the Life of Camille.” Brief background check: I am currently a senior at Loyola Marymount University, majoring in Applied Information Management Systems with an emphasis in International Business. I love spending time with my friends and family, the ones who bring love and meaning to my life. I also enjoy getting lost in the world of a great book, movie, or album. I have a good time playing or watching sports, rep the Lakers and Dodgers, and fitness is a very important habit in my life. If you have any questions or want to know more great ways to use Surfmark in your own life, email me at camille@surfmark.net. Thanks for reading!

Hello readers! Apologies for my short absence, with school starting and moving into a new house, things have been a little hectic. But on to yet another way I find Surfmark useful in my daily life: Sin City. Need I say more….yeah, probably should. Alright, now usually “what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas,” but I decided to make an exception this one time to tell you all the ways Surfmark can help you on your next getaway to this amazing city.

Vegas always has awesome shows with amazing performers, and Labor Day Weekend 2012 was no exception. There was a ridiculously large number of performers to choose from, making my decision on who to see, even harder. This decision required some time for me to process, think, and reflect back on my choices, and what easier way to do that than with Surfmark? Check the line-up

Vegas has an uncountable amount of clubs, bars, and places to drink, how do you even begin to chose where you’re getting drunk? Surfmark helped me save this wonderful breakdown of clubs depending on your preferences and tastes!

Quick breakdown of the weekend:
Friday Night  - Tyga at 1OAK: This place was really hard to get in, we waited for over 2 hours and the bouncers were getting on my last nerves, but once we were in, Tyga was awesome!!! And it was a pretty sweet club.
Saturday Night – Travie at Pure: This was by far my favorite night, but I have a bit of an obsession with Travie, so understandable from my point of view. Anyways, we were on the guest list at this club, which made getting in a lot easier. Travie was unbelievably amazing, I wish I could see him every night!
Sunday Day – David Guetta at Encore: This was nuts! I’ve always heard day parties in Vegas are wild, and this one was no exception. There were people everywhere, so many things going on, and David was a great DJ. He really knows how to work the crowd, and you can tell he really loves what he’s doing up there.

As always, I didn’t get to do everything on my Surfmark that I had hoped, but I found some places that were awesome to add to my Surfmark for the next trip. Like this awesome pub that we stumbled across with a “7 second challenge.” Basically, you have to chug a beer in 7 seconds, no spilling or dribbling, and if you do the beer is on the house, but if you don’t you have to pay for it. I was about 1 gulp away from victory, but my brother completed the challenge successfully on two different occasions! I have to go back to the Todd English Pub and complete this challenge to redeem myself on the next trip.

Finally, the hotel we stayed at: Bill’s.  I’ll be honest, I went into Bill’s expecting the worst, and came out quite pleasantly surprised. They have a good amount of beer pong tables, so my brother, sister-in-law, and I all played a few rounds! They even have a slushee bar with lots of cool mixtures and flavors! Now, they did have karaoke, and I’ll tell you, I was tempted, but when I do sing karaoke for the first time it just has to be a Lil Wayne or Nicki song that I can really rock out to, so until that day comes, I guess my rapping dreams will just have to wait.

Overall, I had an amazing first experience in Vegas as a 21-year-old. I owe a huge thank you and this entire trip to my brother and new sister-in-law, since it was their gift to me. They made the entire trip perfect and a completely unforgettable experience. I also owe a thank you to my Mom and Dad who also made the trip and got crazy with their 21-year-old for a few nights :) Family, Vegas, what more can one possibly need?
